This has been such an exciting week! We’ve had a great KIDS UP FRONT presentation by Tara on the festival of lights, Diwali or Deepavali. Sona and Tara brought in beautiful clay Diyas to gift to the children and each child decorated a Diwali card to take home to their family.
The zip line adventure course at Forest Adventure, in Bedok Reservoir Park, was an exhilarating experience for all! The children really did us proud. As good team members, they encouraged each other, cheered one another on, took risks and were extremely brave and resilient. We had so much fun and laughter today!
A big thank you to Kiara’s mum for being our Mystery Reader this Thursday! Please feel free to contact me if you would like to read to our children. You could perhaps read a story in your mother tongue language, or even use Skype to read a poem to our children.
We will be going on our first visit to Happy Lodge next Wednesday. The children will sing songs to the elderly and give them a card or a flower as a gift. We will also be having our first Grade 1PTh Workshare on Friday. Please let me know if you cannot make it. The schedule for this was sent out last week.
Wishing all our families who celebrate Diwali, a very Happy and Prosperous Diwali!
-Poonam and Jae
